That fetus is 17?
Almost nothing makes me feel older than the phrase “class of 2007.” We saw it on a sweatshirt yesterday. How can someone born in 1989 be 17 years old? 1989, people! And normally I don’t feel old at all. I feel the same as I did when I was 17. I mean, I feel smarter, more mature, more confident. I’m a little heavier. If anything, I feel like everyone around me is getting younger. But do I feel older? Nah. Not until I see babies walking around who are allegedly 17.
I can’t wait until the first time my kids ask me what year I was born in. And I start saying “19–” and they interrupt me laughing and howling, “You were born last millennium! HA!”
Oh yeah. That’s going to be a riot.
