I wasn’t sure if it was because the sun was shining this morning or just because I got enough sleep last night, but I woke up today in a good mood. Maybe it was catching green lights all the way to the school or the fact that, on this particular morning, listening to That’s Entertainment by The Jam was a perfect soundtrack for driving there. Maybe it was having a mocha and chocolate milk with my son at the local coffee shop before dropping him off at pre-school.

But probably it was because I miss my lovely and talented wife and today she’s returning from a four day business trip.

Not that my life is a dreary, dark tunnel—but if it was, she’d be the light at the end.
