Lately, my son has expressed a preference for a particular hair style. We used to dry his hair after his bath and he’d look in the mirror and he’d laugh and tell us to “see my silly hair!” and he’d dance around. But now, even before I get the towel onto his head, he reminds me that he doesn’t want silly hair anymore. Silly hair is out.

“No silly hair, Daddy. Want serious hair.”
