Review: Eragon

Star Wars with dragons. It’s A New Hope complete with a blonde farm boy who starts a journey to become a man following the murder of his uncle, a dark and powerful pursuer who does the bidding of an evil emperor, magic, a hermit who turns out to be more than he seems and makes the ultimate sacrifice, a daring rescue of a princess from the enemy stronghold, a treacherous journey to a rebel base with the means to their salvation, sword fighting, a shady character who proves to be valiant and noble, and a climactic battle where good triumphs over evil. Not bad though.

Between a sword slingin’ wanna be son and a daughter that does nothing but dream of being the rescued princess - it was a hit here… One of those things you have to weigh I guess - possible damage to my precious children’s minds vs. a few moments of peace and a possible uninterupted conversation with my husband!
