So I was browsing the Technorati Top 100 and saw Photo Matt, the principal developer of WordPress (the fine blogging software that runs this site), at number three and I was curious so I started clicking through to some of the sites that linked to him.

And a lot of the sites are brand new WordPress installs with the default links, one of which is to photomatt.net. And as I was clicking through those sites that all looked the same, often with just one post along the lines of “hi, this is my blog” or “testing,” often with the name “my weblog,” I began to chuckle (at myself, not at the new WordPress users), because the phrase “You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike” began repeating in my head.

And I know that I may not be the most geeky person on the planet, but I think that I must be in the top few percent.
