My son the talker

It’s amazing how the ability to speak in complete sentences builds gradually, yet simultaneously the boy surprises me by saying, “Hey, Dad, lookit me,” just before jumping off the couch. We’ve been correcting him lately when he says “me” instead of “I” (he says, “Me did it!” a lot). Every time I correct him, he dutifully repeats the phrase with “I”, but really I think he had it right in the first place. His way is more natural and it conveys the same meaning. What’s the point of “I”?

Me tempted to join him instead of correct him. My son, leading the language revolution. While we’re at it we can stop using capitalization, too.
