Leave a message? With you? Are you mad?
Since I’ve started working from home full-time, I’m now privy to a wide range of activity that before I only knew about in theory. For example, my lovely and talented wife is hosting a birthday party for a friend’s child today. This generates many phone calls from other moms. I answered the phone while she was out buying supplies this morning. “No, she’s not here. Would you like to leave a message?” And the answer was always, “No, thanks, I’ll call back later.”
Which is fine with me. But, these ladies don’t think a husband can take a message?

What they hope is you’ll tell Maggie they called and she’ll instinctively know whether to call them or not.
