Is Netflix worth it?

I’m sure a lot of you are, like myself, a member of Netflix. I love it but I was wondering if it was really worth the expense. Sometimes the DVDs sit on my shelf unwatched for days. Sometimes by the time I receive a DVD I don’t have any interest in watching it anymore. Being a geek I wrote an online application to analyze my rental history and answer that question for me (and then some). The Netflix History Analyzer (I’m accepting suggestions for a better name) will take your complete rental history, which Netflix will email to you from your account page, and give you a breakdown of your rental activity including whether you are saving or losing money compared to renting locally. Happily, I’m saving money, even with my non-optimal renting habits. How about you?

We found the NetFlix DVD’s would sit for months without getting watched. So without an analysis I’d say we were losing money on the service.
