Had the following conversations with The Boy this morning at breakfast. He’s on this thing now where he says he doesn’t want X, I’ll offer him Y, sometimes he’ll accept Y, then he says he wants X. He’s been doing it for weeks. It’s not frustrating anymore.

"I want something to drink."
"You have lemonade in your cup," I said.
"I don't want lemonade."
"Do you want milk?"
"No. Lemonade."

And, on the benefits of hot and cold water:

"I really like this mug you guys made me." "You're welcome," he said. "I like it because it keeps my coffee hot." "You like hot... hot..." He trailed off. "I like hot coffee." "I like hot water." "Hot water is good for taking a bath." "Cold water is good to drink for." "Yes, cold water is good to drink." "Bath water doesn't good to drink." "That's right, bath water is not good to drink." "Bath water is lumpy."
