I originally found your site via two means: the Flickr toys, and some other way (which, for the life of me, I can’t remember). I didn’t realize you were the Flickr toys guy until later.

The conversational posts are awesome! Those are what got me hooked. It’s great how you’re able to remember and frame just the bits that are entertaining.

Hi John,

I’ve been visiting your sites for a long while now (”Lurker” is my middle name. LOL!). I think I found this one from your other site Photodoto (and I found that one when I googled something on photography), and I got hooked ever since.
I don’t have any kids of my own (yet), but I have one Goddaugther who’ll be turning two this summer. I love your posts especially the conversations with the boy and the girl. ;)

Although I’m not sure how I originally found it, I’ve been reading your blog for a while. I find your insights regarding your family both touching and amusing. I have two girls and a grown son, so I can relate to a lot of what you say.

I am a former tabletop game designer (Dangerous Journeys, Rapture), currently employed as a NASA contractor in Alabama. I used to be heavily involved in Live Action RolePlaying, but now I spend my time with MMO gaming.

I, too, arrived via Flickr - came for the cool apps, stayed for the slice of Dad-hood. See, my husband expresses himself neither often nor well, so I use your blog at times to view family life as he might. Your conversations with the Boy sound eerily similar to conversations with My Boy ( “My tongue is a gun” !? - cracks me up ). Same for the Girl - My Girl sounds just like her at times. Mostly I lurk, absorbing the good vibes ( even from the rants !) that shimmer from your posts.

I found your website because my friend lives in Cali, and is a HUGE flikr guy like you…and loved your work. I am a 1st and 2nd grade teacher and I love looking at your kids pictures and hearing thier amazing stories! I hear kid stories all the time throughout the day, and cant get enough of them. Found it while looking at your flickr tools. Have 2 kids of my own and I really enjoy your replays of your conversations with your family. Sometimes, it is all I can do to stifle myself in public.
