First off, I check this blog every single day because I adore your photos and the things you write about family is just great. Dang cute.
Second, maybe you already know this and for that I feel really dumb, but, the little hand the boy made is actually the American Sign Language *sign* for “I love you”. The pinkie finger when raised alone is the letter “I”, The extended thumb along with the raised index finger is the signed letter “L”, and the extended thumb and extended pinkie together make the letter”Y”…i.l.y - all together at once. Together they make “I love you!”
Here’s something: If you make that sign and he makes that sign and you and he put your hands together with your two center fingers and the base of your palms touching, (palms facing each other, his base against yours, thumbs same side, etc.) You can look through both hands and there should be a “heart” shape made by the both of you together, visable in the center.

s’mee, these are the jokes, kid. ;-) Don’t feel dumb. I need as many people as possible pointing out when I’m not funny because otherwise I’ll become /that guy/ who /thinks/ he’s funny but really everyone rolls their eyes whenever they turn their back on him. Thanks for reading!
