This is why I’m married to my wife and not somebody else

At the end of A Bug’s Life, when they’re clear-cutting stalks of grain like there’s no tomorrow, I couldn’t help but think that they’re going to extinct themselves, Easter Island style. And then, like a lunatic who has obviously watched this movie far, far too many times, I thought, “Nah. That Flick is a smart guy. They must have a good environmental policy.”

But the best part is when I mentioned this to my lovely and talented wife: she laughed and said she actually thought the same thing. Which is crazy. But at least we’re crazy together.

I feel the same way about my dear husband. Very often I will start to make a comment about something we are watching and he will say it before I can. We have the same reactions to things (although, admittedly, mine are more dramatic).

May I wish you many more crazy years together.

Okay, this is so lame, but I was reading the ‘Flick is a smart guy’ and I thought for a second, because I am this lame, that you were talking about yourself because I call you the ‘Flickr guy’. You’re the go to guy for all the cool Flickr stuff.

  3. It’s nice to see that in a world that can be very cynical that someone isn’t afraid to stand up and say to the entire interweb that I love the person I’m with because they’re so cool to me.

    Respect. :-)
