Review: Stardust
A fast-paced, romantic, fairy-tale adventure. Mixes equal parts swashbuckling, whimsy, satire, and risqué humor. Violence runs the gamut from slapstick to quite serious. Not scary. Captain Shakespeare was hilarious and the ghosts provide satisfying comic relief throughout. Stardust is in many ways like The Princess Bride with higher production value. Recommended for the whole family.

I agree. I LOVED this movie.

Hmm, Michelle Pfiefer. Even at her age, it’s well worth the rental! Though, I’m not sure my boys are old enough to appreciate anything but the pirates. :)

You know, I was dubious when I rented this, but since I got it at the dollar-menu RedBox, I knew I could been too disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised, though not totally thrilled with it. Yes, Capt. Shakespeare completely made the film, and without the comic relief of the ghosts, it would have been entirely not funny. I did find it odd in the cast of stars, poor Arthur Weasley’s follow-up to the Harry Potter series is a brain-dead man-goat.

Sure, but a *brilliant* man-goat.
