I finally watched this movie. Yes the cinematography is great. The visuals are great. The story as a whole, didn't care for it.

The end did get me. When you hear the background sounds while the bold CHILDREN OF MEN is shown.

Maybe I didn't like it because is felt so close to how things are turning out in our world. I don't know...

On a side note, 300 was awesome...

I saw it in the theatre and absolutely loved it. Later, I tried to read the novel it's (loosely) based on, and just couldn't get into it.

I can highly recommend that film too. It is fantastic. I especially love their long long "one shot" takes - ie the car in the wood scene - it's hard to believe that's a single take, but it is! There's no cutthru scene - where the camera would suddenly flick to another scene (for example most films would show the inside of car, then outside etc)

Brilliant. I rented this on DVD, but would be purchasing it for my collection. (For any deaf people reading...I'm in UK and the subtitles are fully available including extras)
