Remotely Connected
November 14th, 2006
Watch PBS? I was invited to participate in PBS’s guest blogging project Remotely Connected (my most recent post was about the NOVA program Family That Walks on All Fours) (Don’t look at the photo—I hate my photo.). It’s associated with their “Save your nights for PBS” promotion in connection with the Fall TV season—and it’s turned out to be an interesting experiment. They’ve created a forum that allows guest bloggers (a truly eclectic mix) and PBS viewers to have an open dialog about their programs. Television can be so much more than it is today. What PBS is doing allows you to connect with other viewers in a way that, just a few years ago, wasn’t even possible. Anyway, I think what they’re doing is great. And so far they’re doing it the right way: bravely, uncensored, open.
