This is AWESOME! My sister-in-law took pictures of me like this and sent it framed to us for an anniversary gift. Your pictures are much nicer than the ones of me, though.
Going with the checkerboard idea from above - you could make some black and white and leave the others color. That mgiht be a pretty cool effect.
