Um, the dates on that newsletter are Nov. 1-30th. Which is one day less than October, which makes it even more unlikely that a person could finish a novel during National Novel Writing Month. Unless they had been writing it every November since, oh, I don’t know, 2000? But why am I saying that; I have never written a novel and have no idea how long it takes. And if I wrote as much as I run my mouth I could probably write a series of novels in a month! Nevermind. ;)

BTW, I hope you can tell I was being facetious with my last comment. I haven’t read a word about it but I daresay one is not expected to complete the novel in a month. Maybe I should read up on it before holding forth.

Okay, egg on my face. I just read the rules for NaNo and am hereby asking that you flagrantly disregard my previous comments! I think I will shut up for awhile.

Sylvia, you’re awesome—no worries. :-) Actually I should have written *almost* here… but now IS the time to start getting involved and getting ready if you plan to participate. :-)
