It’s not fair

Daughter: Can I have a bedtime snack?
Me: No.
Daughter: Grrr! No fair!
Daughter: You get to do everything because you’re a parent!
You get to eat bedtime snacks!
You get to stay up late!
You get to work for your family and buy things and everything!
Daughter storms out of the room.

Dazzled? I was.

LOL - I’ve heard parts of that conversation, not the last bit. I’d be dazzled (or dazed) by the last sentence:

“You get to work for your family and buy things and everything!”

and that exact same conversation seems to happen with every child and to repeat at every age… (except maybe the last bit ;-)
