Good behavior
Daughter: Daddy? I’ve been thinking about my behavior this year.
Me: Oh?
Daughter: I don’t think I behaved very well so I don’t deserve a lot of presents for Christmas.
Me: Hmm. Well, you’re a kid and sometimes kids have bad days. But, overall, I think you’ve been really great this year.
Daughter: No, I don’t think so.
Me: Well, I think so. And you know what? I’m going to get you something really good anyway.
Daughter: Daddy, you know what? I really like parents because they always know how to make you feel better.
Haha! What an amazing conversation.
oh m’goodness, i love her.
holy cow, that’s one incredible girl you’ve got there, john. very sweet.
Just when you think you’ve got your kids figured out, they throw you for these kinds of loops !
….makes me want to give her something! What a sweetheart.
If she were five or six years older I would have to suspect that she was using a little reverse psychology on you. Or maybe checking to be sure she’s getting at least SOME presents. But considering her age, and looking into those big brown eyes…. Yeah–she’s just a little doll!
