D-O-R-K  

Tonight at dinner my wife called me a dork. The reason is unimportant (the description is often apt). She spelled it out so that the little ones wouldn’t pick up on it. Did I mention I’ve been teaching our daughter to read? She immediately started sounding out the letters. And of course we encouraged her and gave her a few hints. She shouted it out proudly when she got it. And then she laughed when she got it. That’s my little code breaker.

    It happened to me with “ice cream”…

    I had asked my girlfriend if she wanted I C E C R E A M. and the first reply was from my daughter at that time-4. and she said, “That spells ice cream”…
    From then on, I was carefull about things I spelled…
