Readme.txt contains the enhancements and bug fixes made in each version.
Known Issues
- Close all open programs before installing.
- Undocumented feature: keyboard move entry. To make a move using the keyboard only, first make sure that the board has focus by clicking once on the board. From then on, just enter your move in algebraic notation and press enter. If the move is legal, it will be made. If not, you'll hear a buzzer. To reset the entry buffer, press the ESC key.
- Undocumented feature: Press the ESC key to cancel all pending premoves.
- ICC compatibility is okay but not as good as FICS compatibility. I don't use ICC. If you do, let me know what I can do to make it better.
- The analysis engine sometimes hangs in Windows 98. The symptom is that you can click the Analyze button but you don't see any analysis. The only solution I know of is to reboot. This doesn't affect any other functionality in the program and the client itself doesn't hang when this happens. Please let me know if you've found a procedure to reproduce this problem 100% of the time.
- You can close the board of a game you are playing. What happens? Nothing. The board closes but the game is still in progress. Type "refresh" to get the board back.
- You can't setup sounds within the interface. For now, just change the wav files in the sounds/ folder if you want different sounds.
- ICC support isn't as good as FICS support.
