Even carrots, milk and apple juice tasted better to the kids when they were wrapped in the familiar packaging of the Golden Arches… Study author Dr. Tom Robinson said the kids’ perception of taste was “physically altered by the branding.”

    I’m gagging as I “say” this, but at least they’re eating the carrots, milk and apple juice instead of the fries and burgers.

    This reminds me of the movie “Idiocracy”. When I watched it a couple of months ago, I found it mildy funny…. but as time has gone on, it becomes scarier and scarier. I don’t know if the producers were trying to make a statement or just a humorous movie, but tidbits of infomation like this study seem to support their predictions for the future of mankind.

    All I can say is…..”Ow! My balls!”

    Is this really news?

    We’ve known that marketing has a subtle, even subliminal effect that, over time, can be exceptionally powerful. We’ve known this for decades. It’s part of why we educate our children to be incredulous and critical, or at least why we should.
