Notice: Crime and terror have been defeated, people. Nothing to see here.

November 9th, 2004

“The objective of securing the safety of Americans from crime and terror has been achieved.” — John Ashcroft MSNBC – Ashcroft, Evans resign from Cabinet. Whew! Well, I’m sure glad that whole “crime and terror” business is finally behind us.

Phone call

November 9th, 2004

My daughter just called me on the phone to tell me she loves me. Enjoy it while it lasts, right? Although, I’m beginning to get the feeling that she may just be softening me up for something. She’s been after some new toys. We’ve been inundated with Christmas catalogs. She was thumbing through one recently [...]

Heroes

November 9th, 2004

After seeing and enjoying The Incredibles, I toyed briefly with the idea of trying out City of Heroes. But then I saw this and, well… it’s just… forget I mentioned it.

Kids are messy

We [...]

Strangely sentimental

November 4th, 2004

I’m listening to New Slang by The Shins, unwinding at the end of the day; and I’m smiling because I’m thinking that in a few minutes I’ll go home and my kids will be there and we’ll play until bedtime.

The Gimp experiment

November 4th, 2004

I’ve been trying to like The Gimp. When switching software, there is almost always a difficult transition period where your productivity is reduced because you have to learn new ways of doing familiar tasks. To get over that, I tried using The Gimp exclusively for a relatively simple layout comp for a small project. Things [...]

Tickles

November 4th, 2004

Referrer logs can be fascinating. While reviewing mine today, I found out that this site is the #1 result for “tickle his feet” on Google followed immediately by several foot tickling fetish sites and then some more general sites about tickling. Whatever.
